The uppers are jet black faux leather that is totally flexible and coated inside with squishy foam. Heel has extra padding on the footbed. These make a great dress shoe for when you need to look dressy and may need to dance (weddings, parties, etc.).

The steel shank provides the support you need to stay on your toes all night long.

Buckle is attached with elastic to stretch when you need it. Great swing dance shoes because of the slideable sole and the comfort you need in a swing shoe (that's going to be on the hardwood all night).
