The Red version is very dark in color, copied from the Deep Burgundy Red traditionally used on women's Forties' shoes.

The sole is the fabulous Aris Allen Raw Sole; awesome to dance on.

The heel is 2 1/4" and the platform is 1/2" (making the heel feel like it's only 1 3/4").

Sole is flexible to help you feel the floor. Great swing dance shoes because of the cute styling, slideable sole, and the comfort you expect in a swing shoe (that's going to be on the dance floor all night).

At right is a photograph of the vintage shoe that was copied to make this beauty. Unfortunately the large toe hole was also copied perfectly, making this a bad choice for women with very narrow feet (your toes will come out the end). Hopefully this will be changed in a few months...
