Soft as a kitten with a classic aline shape. The surface feels like cashmere. Only one color - a subtle olive. Hangs to 2-3" above most women's knees. We told our model she could have any item we sell in trade for modelling the skirt. She took the skirt (she already had a pair of the shoes)... That's how cute it is! These are NOT HEMMED - but the bottom is SERGED (that means it's finished with thread whipped around the bottom). Back zipper closure. The color of these is just like that of olive green wool vintage skirts & jackets you see so often in vintage clothing stores, but unlike wool, they're not scratchy and are quite soft to the touch. Very easy care Polyester - Machine Washable! We washed them in cold water and found they were perfect right out of the dryer - so you will not have to iron them before going out. (we discovered that they do best on a cool "permanent press" dryer setting.) "Bias Cut" means that the weave is diagonal when they sew it together - which makes it hang like silk curtains. (all Thirties' gowns hang like a dream because pretty much everything was bias cut back then!) |

NOTE: These are made to be worn right about at your navel. Please measure yourself before ordering. No tape measure? Use a piece of string or an extension cord around your waist, then measure it!). And yes, the waist does stretch a smitch (about 1/2 to 3/4"). |
