Aris Allen Women's White Canvas Sneaker with Suede Sole

**We have just discovered that the White Canvas Dance Sneakers have a few yellow stains which affects some of the shoes. These stains are superficial and do not detract from the functionality of the shoes. Because of the stains, we are deeply discounting all the shoes. Returns and exchanges are accepted as normal, but we will not re-ship a pair at our cost because of an aesthetic defect.

This is a danceable version of the classic tennis sneaker of the last century. So now you can look like you're wearing sneakers without the knee-injuring potential that dancing on rubber soles carries.

SIZING TIPS:

Our test group said that these fit a half size larger - so if you fit 6.5 to 7; you will most likely fit the 6.5 best.

ABOUT SUEDE SOLES:

Aris Allen Women's White Canvas dancing sneakers are made with Chrome Leather Soles (suede tanned with chromium salts) which are wonderful to dance on but require occasional upkeep (it's usually a problem with catching the edge on a piece of hardwood that is sticking up on the dance floor).

If you need to re-glue the chrome leather many people just use crazy glue gel. We have also found that commercially produced shoe repair glue (available from the shoe repair shop in your local mall) works great.

You're not supposed to wear chrome leather soles outside - but every swing dancer knows that you can make suede soles faster by wearing them everywhere to get them dirty, then dance in them until they're shiny on the bottom.

If you prefer them less zippy you can dull the "mirror finish" they can get by roughing them up with a wire brush periodically. Just remember that when they get wet in the rain they won't spin very easily (conversely - if they're too slippery just spill your drink on the floor and step in it!).
